The main parts of the tiki room were complete, but there’s always small things to be done. Once again, a big thanks to Tiki Tom-Tom for some of these pictures.
The Filipino collection was growing and being displayed:
Lina found a great aquarium that leaks. We still need to find something to do with this. right now it is rum storage.
And tiki kept creeping throughout the house.
Our neighbor had a large collection of plants that we were taking care of after she moved until she found a better place, but Lina inherited them all and her status as crazy plant lady became official.
Lina also has a collection of vintage chalkware fish in the main floor bathroom
I always hated the mirrored dining room
Lina wanted a plant wall. So we covered the mirrors with some garden lattice.
Then Lina put some fake plant stuff on the lattice.
Then added a combination of fake and real plants.
Lina also inspired/infected our neighbor with the tiki aesthetic and this was his first Moai.
He then sculpted three Tiki Bob planters in Papa, Mama, and Baby sizes.
And this was his crowning achievement. He spent a lot of time on the butt, which he calls magnificent!
An event rental company was selling off some inventory, so we picked up this 8′ Moai.
Lina thought it was too cartoony, so our neighbor taught her his secret recipe for paper-crete, and she upgraded his look:
