Lunenburg was definitely one of my favorite stops on our trip to the Maritimes. It was here that we learned that lobster was once considered a poor man’s food! Kids wouldn’t be seen going to school with a lobster sandwich. Only rich kids went to school with bologna or peanut butter sandwiches. Prisoners complained about having to eat lobster everyday! Can you imagine?!
We took a half hour carriage ride around town and learned some of its history. Please excuse the wobbly pictures. They were mostly taken atop the carriage.
