I’m getting ready to install the Maslow CNC machine, which means I have to be smarter about space in the shop.
I am pretty sure I spent more time making a temporary cover for this lathe than it did to make a permanent stand. Here is what I intended to make:
Then I saw this design just before I started
And somehow it ended up being this. I can’t believe it took me a year to get to this. Lina will be making covers while not in use.
I had a stand for the Miter saw, but it was always a bitch to get the side supports right. It’s based on a couple of designs I saw on the internet. I saw a much better one after I was mostly finished this one, of course. It’s a lot deeper than it needs to be because I may want to add some fancy dust collection in the future. It wasn’t supposed to hold my router table, but it looked like a perfect fit after it was built. There’s a notch int he front because it didn’t quite fit and I was married to the idea at that point. The other bin is for off cuts, which saves me some more floor space as well.
