We bought a microwave for over the stove that turned into a disaster. The actual microwave installation took about 2 hours but the prep work to get ready for the microwave, install a couple of plugs and updating a couple of plugs turned into a weekend long project with many, many trips to Home Depot. The best part came at the end when the microwave turned out to be damaged when we bought it which we didn’t see until it was finally installed. Then the new GFCI receptacle kept tripping for no apparent reason and I took everything apart and put it all back together only to find out that the stove light switch was faulty.

Old style switches and plugs and a completely useless white conduit not in the corner where it would be less intrusive but crooked in the middle of the wall. Thanks previous owners. |
New style GFCI plugs, no stupid conduit. |
Everything in the kitchen was on one circuit. No plugs from the back wall all the way into the living room. Thanks previous owners. |
New plug on a new circuit. |
No Microwave and no plugs. | New microwave and new plug |
