Nashville is great ya’ll! Chris and I went downtown to listen to all the music on Friday and Saturday. Even with both nights we still didn’t have enough time. Broadway is where all the honky tonk bars are. Such a great street. Country music right next to rockabilly, right next to western, right next to blues. And you just walk in and out of them like a musical buffet. And no cover! Just please tip the bands. They don’t get paid by the house and rely on the audience for money for their “4 kids who need cigarettes” That’s what the bands say when they’re reminding everyone that they’re playing for free. Check out 2nd Ave too. This is where you’ll find blues music, newer clubs and discos.
If you have a chance, try a Fried Bologna Sandwich somewhere. It’s better than it sounds. Mmmm, wash it down with a sweet tea. I had my sandwich at the Log Cabin Cafe or Restaurant. It’s on the same exit to get to Hurricane Mills.
