This is an old story. I had decided that driving a truck around for errands and groceries was a waste so wanted to start motorcycling again. I was pretty busy at the time and figured that fixing up the old motorcycle I’ve been schlepping from storage unit to storage unit since I left Denver the first time around the year 2001 would be too much work. I went looking for a cheap bike and found this little Honda Davidson. It was a little too small and gutless for me but it seemed to be the perfect size for Lina if she decided to try it out.
When the guy pulled out every gas receipt with mileage written on it and the owners manual with his custom tabs for every piece of important information I figured if I was going to buy a motorcycle from someone, this was the guy.
Lina was immediately drawn to it and we went out and took a motorcycle class. I became a legal motorcycle rider for the first time ever and I’ve been riding off and on since I was 14. After the class was over, she told me to fix up my bike so we could ride together despite the fact that I bought this motorcycle so that I didn’t have to fix up the old one.
The old bike is fixed up including some custom diamond plate panels I had to make to cover the former homes of some plastic covers.
