My mother took a trip to CO in the late 90s and visited a museum about the wild west. As an avid quilter, she noticed a sign telling visitors to ask about the quilt on display if they were interested. The quilt on display was called a Promise Quilt. These quilts were completed by women during the long wagon rides to the west and were created with a series of “promises” which included a promise to never write the promises down.
Lina started this quilt last year and made every stitch by hand driving home from Edmonton last year or during Netflix binge sessions.
