As we were heading into Nashville, we stopped by Loretta Lynn’s cafe for breakfast (yuck) Then we drove up to her house in Hurricane Mills for a tour. The tour consists of a replica of the house Loretta grew up in Butcher Holler, KY, a replica of a mine that her father worked in, and her mansion. I loved it but then I’ve seen the movie, Coal Miner’s Daughter about 50 times. Chris has never seen it so he must have been wondering why I was so excited about a hillbilly’s shack and mansion. If you decide to go and wonder why there’s such a long road from the main road to the houses, it’s because she had to buy the entire town along with the mansion. The tour is $12 per person. You can see the signs along I- 40.
