You may remember the Devils Tower from Close Encounters of the Third Kind.Remember Richard Dreyfuss making a model of the tower out of mashed potatoes on his plate?Here’s the tower he trying to recreate.The day we got here the park was in extreme fire danger so we weren’t allowed to do the 2 mile hike around the tower.We had to satisfy ourselves with the 1 mile hike around the base.
