Last Saturday I went to my first flat track roller derby bout in Denver. Denver is home to the Rocky Mountain Rollergirls. It’s composed of 2 home teams; the Red Ridin’ Hoods and the Sugar Kill Gang. This bout was just between the home teams. Next month’s bout is between the Red Ridin’ Hoods and a team from Oregon. The best part of the flat track is that we can sit right next to the track and see all the action within a few feet of us. Sometimes if there is a spill, one of the rollergirls might fall across your lap! Oh yeah in December Denver is going up against Edmonton! It’s the first international bout for the flat track league. I would really like to see this bout.
