Cholo is the Princess and the Pea of beds… Beds for his size are too big for him, and he looks ridiculous sitting in Tequila’s.
So I made him a custom bed to his size. I watched a ton of Sailrite videos to learn how to sew, but I couldn’t find anything on the internet with the design I wanted to build.
In the end I joined a cylinder pillow and a round cushion, but the cylinder turned out to be the big problem. I sewed the cylindrical tube together with a zipper plaque and was excited to turn it inside out, unfortunately, that’s not how it works. I ended up with a Mobius strip that wouldn’t reverse.
I cut cylinder #2 too narrow and couldn’t crack the hidden zipper part. I was finally able to crack it after a nap and a trip to Joanne’s. Glad I bought the super sewing machine and zipper foot as I sewed through four layers of this minky fabric 🙂
I also had to remove 1/2 of the base cushion because I thought Cholo might topple over with 4″ of cusion, which was much higher than I imagined it. Tequila loved it, though.
Third machine sewing project done!
