We stopped in Houston on our way to Belize where Lina did some coke:

(It was actually a drink called “Don’t Do Coke in the Bathroom”. Tequila, mixer and served with a dried flower that made your mouth go numb. – Lina)

Once in Belize we checked into our AirBnB, Pineapple Hill off of the Hummingbird Highway. It was amazing! There were three houses for rent at the encampment, but we had the entire place to ourselves for most of our stay. We stayed at the 1 bedroom unit overlooking the pond. We were surrounded by jungle, birds, and exotic flowers.

The pool was dug and the mountain stream was rediverted back to fill it.
To the right of the hammock house is where the pool drops off into a waterfall and what we assumed was a small hydroelectric generator and the water was returned to the mountain stream

This is the studio treehouse next to ours
In theory we shared a dining room with the studio treehouse. There was a large screen that pulled down from the ceiling where we watched TV and movies.

We went to Cahal Pech (Place of Ticks) in San Ignacio. This was a small ruins, but we were able to get a great sense of the layout and life of the Mayan people. The place is still being excavated and it’s interesting to see the hills being cleaned away and the stairs underneath.
