I finally finished my first woodworking project. Aloo/Han Cholo/Tepehuan is supposed to arrive tonight and he’ll have a fully insulated doghouse with a special heating pad inside for those days that I’m out of town and Lina has to work.
We can’t decide what to name the poor little guy. Here are our options.
Tepehuan is the name the breeder gave him.
Aloo is short for Aloo Paratha. Aloo is Potato in one of the Indian languages (Hindi?) and was our favorite breakfast. These was the first and pretty much only non-English words we learned while we were there.
Han Cholo was stolen from another dog named Han Sholo. He is a Xoloitzcuintle (xolo, pronounced sholo for short) and I like Cholo because it has a harder consonant at the front. He’s a Mexican dog and a cholo in Mexico is “used for a person of Mexican background who wishes to present a tough, many a times gangster-like image or a gangster.” (Thank you wikipedia)
